The City of Fountain Planning and Electric Departments had a meeting yesterday(August 3, 2020) with representatives from the Front Range Solar entity who submitted the revised application to El Paso County. During that meeting, we reiterated the need for a 70 foot wide electric transmission line easement to be incorporated into the plans. Unless I missed it on the plans that were submitted to El Paso County, I did not see that the requested easement was provided on the easement plan or the site plan. The Response letter – page 18 states that the easement will be addressed with the site development plan. The City is concerned that postponing the easement to that phase is problematic. The City is therefore requesting that the requested 70 foot wide electric transmission line easement be shown on these, and future plan sets. The Applicant will need to coordinate with the City on the timing of the conveyance of the easement. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. If the Applicant has specific questions concerning the easement, please have them contact the Deputy Utility Director Carl Christian at (719)322-2063. |

Hanover Fd has no issue with the fire mitigation plan at this time. Hanover FD along with Front range is still working out the final site plan as far as Battery storage and what hazmat equipment that will need to be provided by Front range.
