We have reviewed your case and given your circumstances, we are prepared to accept your CAD files as is. Please note that El Paso County is working to update and clarify the language in the Engineering Criteria Manual (ECM) to require CAD files and drawings to be submitted in the county’s defined coordinate system of Colorado State Plane Central Zone and with a layer that clearly denotes your site monuments that conform to Section 5.10.5.C of the ECM below. 5.10.5.C: Monument Caps and Data All monuments shall be metallic caps stamped with the registered business name or the letters "L.S." followed by the registration number of the surveyor in charge. All monuments shall include state plane coordinate and elevation information meeting County GIS Standards along with any information required by State law. As we prepare for this update, we are asking that you begin to deliver to us CAD files and drawings that meet these standards. This will help ensure a smooth transition as we work to incorporate these changes into our standard language in the ECM. Hello JPS Engineering, Inc., in order to support the intake of your data into El Paso County’s GIS and Asset Management Systems, we kindly ask that you update the CAD files that you have submitted so that it’s in Colorado State Plane Central zone coordinates and includes horizontal control points (decimal lat/long coordinates to 6 decimal places will suffice). If you have questions about this request or how to get your data into the requested format, please let me know and I can assist you. Thanks in advance, Matt Goolsby Senior Geospatial Analyst 719.352.5937 MatthewGoolsby@elpasoco.com |
