- The facility's existing service area is a residential community of 381 homes and a buildout capacity of 520 homes, and two schools, Kilmer Elementary and the Monument Academy East Campus. The average 30-day monthly flows range between 32,000 gallons per day (GPD) and 76,000 GPD and are consistently below the 0.11 million gallons per day (MGD) maximum month average day flow (MMADF) allowed in Walden’s current groundwater discharge permit. WSD is proposing to replace the existing wastewater treatment plant (again, a sequencing batch reactor plant) with a membrane bioreactor (MBR), which is a package plant.
