Fire Safety and Wildfire Mitigation Program comments:

A Wildland Fire and Hazard Mitigation Plan is required at this phase of the submittal. The fire protection report is to provide the fire district (Ellicott), adopted fire code (2015 International Fire Code), fire intensity level (Moderate), existing and proposed new water supplies with required calculations, minimum road widths allowed per the Engineering Development Code and the adopted fire code, an analysis of compliance with the LDC and applicable fire codes. The Wildland Fire and Hazard Mitigation Plan shall be authored by a qualified professional and include fire intensity, slope, vegetation inventory, forestry and/or plant health issues, purposed mitigation methods and standards, and how the mitigation methods and standards will be carried out in continuum for the life of the development.

The El Paso County Parks Department has reviewed this rezoning application and has no objections to the rezoning of these parcel of land. The 2022 Parks Master Plan shows no impacts to existing or proposed parks, trails, or open space. Regional park fees will assessed upon review of the forthcoming preliminary plans and final plat(s). Rezoning applications do not require endorsement by the El Paso County Park Advisory Board, so these comments are being provided administratively.
