El Paso County Parks Department comments: The El Paso County Parks Department has reviewed this rezoning application and has no objections to the rezoning of these parcels of land. The 2022 Parks Master Plan shows no impacts to existing or proposed parks, trails, or open space. El Paso County Parks staff does want to note that this parcel is surrounded by El Paso County Conservation Easements, and the proposed El Paso County Parks Regional Trail “Pyramid Mountain Regional Trail”. Required Regional Park fees will be assessed upon review of the forthcoming preliminary plans and final plat(s). Rezoning applications do not require endorsement by the El Paso County Park Advisory Board, so these comments are being provided administratively. Attached is a map depicting the subject parcel and conservation easement areas with the Pyramid Mountain Regional Trail. Thank you!
