Provide a Wildland Fire and Hazard Mitigation Plan prepared by a Qualified Professional and a Fire Protection Report, which is not required to be prepared by a Qualified Professional. PUD/Rezone – A Wildland Fire and Hazard Mitigation Plan is required at this phase of the submittal. If a current (within 10 years old) Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) exists for the area, then the Wildland Fire and Hazard Mitigation Plan should reference and conform to the CWPP. The fire protection report is to provide the fire district, adopted fire code, fire intensity level, existing and proposed new water supplies with required calculations, minimum road widths allowed per the Engineering Development Code and the adopted fire code, an analysis of compliance with the LDC and applicable fire codes. The Wildland Fire and Hazard Mitigation Plan shall be authored by a qualified professional and include fire intensity, slope, vegetation inventory, forestry and/or plant health issues, purposed mitigation methods and standards, and how the mitigation methods and standards will be carried out in continuum for the life of the development. This is shown as moderate on the fire intensity scale. Roland Peterson Fire Safety and Wildfire Mitigation Program Manager Planning & Community Development 719.520.6075 rolandpeterson@elpasoco.com |

EPC Parks Department
8/14/2025 2:07:36 PM |
The El Paso County Parks Department has reviewed this rezoning application and has no objections to the rezoning of these parcels of land. The 2022 Parks Master Plan shows no impacts to existing or proposed parks, trails, or open space, although in the future, the proposed Highway 94 Primary Regional Trail alignment will cross Enoch Road on the north side of Highway 94. Rezoning applications do not require endorsement by the El Paso County Park Advisory Board, so these comments are being provided administratively. | 8/14/2025 2:07:36 PM | |
