At the intersection of Lemon Grass Road and Bent Grass Meadows Road intersection sight distance does not meet criteria along Bent Grass Meadows to the east. The retaining wall and fence that was constructed along the north side of Bent Grass Meadows Drive between Lemon Grass Road and Barley Court obstructs the intersection sight distance for vehicles turning from Lemon Grass Road. The required intersection sight distance in the AASHTO Green Book based upon a 40 mph design speed is 475’ (accounting for the TWLTL and measured from a decision point 14.5 feet from the edge of the traveled way). Current intersection sight distance measured in the field is approximately 350’.

At the intersection of Berwyn Lane and Bent Grass Meadows Drive, sight distance does not meet criteria along Bent Grass Meadows Drive to the east. The shrubs and landscaping are obstructing the sight distance, and should be trimmed, as well as the fence along Bent Grass Meadows Drive that is also obstructing sight distance. The current intersection sight distance measured in the field is approximately 350'.

Please submit solutions to the County for consideration as the current field conditions are not acceptable to the County for assuming ownership and maintenance of these roadways.
