The Cimarron Hills Fire Department (CHFD) has reviewed the site development plan submitted by APEX Waste Solutions to pave a formal parking area for employees of the business as well as storage for approximately 30 garbage trucks. The site layout includes a fuel island that must comply NFPA 30 (Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code) and NFPA 30A (Code for Motor Fuel Dispensing Facilities and Repair Garages) at 560-570 Air Lane. CHFD would like to discuss the secondary containment requirements for an AST/UST per NFPA 30 & 30A that are essential for managing spills, leaks, and fire hazards. As well as whether a site plan has been submitted to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Oil and Public Safety Compliance Section for the proposed fuel island.
