Black Forest Land Use Committee

The Black Forest Land Use Committee is opposed to the rezone and recommends denial.

The surrounding properties on the north, west and south boundaries are all 5-acre lots or larger. The Meadow Glen subdivision which dates to the 1960s before zoning was established consists of 2.5-acre lots and with the recommendation of the Land Use Committee to approve the proposed 2.5-acre lot on the east side it would match with Meadow Glen lots.

The recommendation from the Land Use Committee for combining the two 2.5-acre lots on the west end of the proposed development will make the overall density just under 5 acres per lot.

The precedent for Black Forest has long been 5-acre averages for development and this should be upheld.
