Information related to the subject project may have been misinterpreted as approved from the Federal Aviation Administration. I can confirm that the airspace evaluation related to this project has not been issued or determined. The initial request, submitted in 2023, was subsequently put on a hold probably due to the proximity of the wind turbines to the Meadow Lake Airport. The developer will need to coordinate with the FAA and request a Notice of Preliminary Finding (NPF) to be issued to the applicant. The NPF will highlight any initial concerns, and possible mitigation measures or resolutions for the developer to consider. After this process the FAA will issue a letter of determination and close the airspace case. | 5/14/2025 9:19:31 AM | |

EPC DPW Stormwater

Review 1: EPC DPW Stormwater has no comments. The proposed project will not disturb over 1 acre, therefore an ESQCP is not required. If the area of disturbance exceeds 1 acre at any time, all work must be stopped and an ESQCP must be obtained in order to resume construction. Reviewed by: Mikayla Hartford, P.E. The site plan and letter of intent do meet the criteria for approval within the Code as accessory uses serving the existing principal use. Planning note: applicant is responsible for verifying proposed wind towers are not within avigation easements that would preclude the use- that is a civil matter. Please work with the FAA and nearby Meadowlake Airport to address their comments. |
