1. Private street names have been approved, show the street names on the overall site plan. Label each structure with the building use. Once this is shown the addressing for all of the structures will be changed to reflect the new street. Also, once the street names are in place then the address to the new structure can be assigned. https://www.pprbd.org/File/Resources/Downloads/Addressing/REQUEST_TO_CHANGE_ADDRESS.pdf Amy Vanderbeek Enumerations Plans Examiner Pikes Peak Regional Building Department O: 719-327-2930 E: Amy@pprbd.org |

1. The existing permit history for this site is 6145 Shoup Road with cabin names. We show Aspen, Columbine, Kinnikinik, Tannenbaum, Willow and Yucca. The others listed we do not show. 6155 Shoup Road is for a manufacture home with a basement. We show no permit history from 12150 Black Forest Road or 5755 Shoup Road. We have permit history for the Maintenance/Storage bldg. under 6145 Shoup Road. Please show on the map which addresses are in use on site, their locations and uses. 2. Our requirement today are that each building should have a distinct separate address. The interior looped road needs to be named. This parcel is much too large to be addressed from one address, from Shoup Road and/or from Black Forest Road. In the event of an emergency, Enumerations believes that the response time would benefit from each cabin/structure having a separate address. Enumerations needs to be able to give even and odd addressing throughout the site. Please contact El Paso-Teller County E-9-1-1 Authority for street name choices. 3. Are the building names on site as the map shows? If so, this would still be okay, to leave the names up along with the address posted on each structure once assigned. See information as to what is required for the address changes to occur. Here is the link: https://www.pprbd.org/File/Resources/Downloads/Addressing/REQUEST_TO_CHANGE_ADDRESS.pdf 4. With the new building 10 being proposed, this building would also receive a separate address. The secondary addressing would be reviewed and approved by the local Fire Department. Please consult with Black Forest Fire Protection for this review. 719-495-4300. See the link here for the buildings that Enumeration will review and approve, see exceptions in the commercial area. https://www.pprbd.org/File/Resources/Downloads/Addressing/SECONDARY_ADDRESS_REQUEST_FORM.pdf 5. Area there separate meters to each structure for gas, water and electricity? Amy Vanderbeek Enumerations Plans Examiner Pikes Peak Regional Building Department O: 719-327-2930 E: Amy@pprbd.org |

The Colorado State Forest Service recommends that all forested acres be mitigated to reduce the risk of wildfire and that defensible space be created for each dwelling using the standards in the CSFS "Home Ignition Zone Guide" (formerly known as "Quick Guide FIRE 2012-1: Protecting Your Home From Wildfire") located on the Colorado State Forest Service website. https://csfs.colostate.edu/media/sites/22/2021/04/2021_CSFS_HIZGuide_Web.pdf In addition, we recommend that all wildfire mitigation be completed before or during dwelling construction. |
