No updated geologic hazards or geotechnical report was provided with this submittal. Per our 1/27/2022 comments, provided CTL Thompson's recommendations (December 23, 2020) are adhered to and subsurface soil investigations are performed for proposed structures associated with the new water and wastewater facility (lift stations, water storage tanks, treatment facilities, etc.), CGS has no objection to the project as planned. A geotechnical report prepared by Entech Engineering (January 15, 2019) is referenced in HR Green's 1041 Permit Application dated February 18, 2023. The Grandview Reserve development proposes up to 3260 residential units at varying densities, institutional use (i.e., potential church site), and parks & open space on 768 acres. In support of the development, water infrastructure is planned, consisting of source water wells, water treatment facilities, water storage tanks, and associated piping. The site does not contain any geologic hazards or unusual geotechnical constraints that preclude the proposed water and wastewater system. CTL’s Preliminary Geotechnical Investigation, Grandview Reserve (December 23, 2020), provides a valid description of surface and subsurface conditions and soil and bedrock engineering properties. CTL states on page 5, “Geologic hazards at the site include expansive soils and bedrock and areas of shallow groundwater.” Provided CTL’s recommendations are adhered to and subsurface soil investigations are performed for proposed structures associated with the new water and wastewater facility (lift stations, water storage tanks, treatment facilities, etc.), CGS has no objection to the project as planned.
