Comments provided by Elizabeth Nijkamp, 719-520-7852 (with concurrence from Jennifer Irvine, County Engineer) 1. Baptist Road in this location will need to be taken under the control of the Town of Monument at this time. 2. The drainage report did not address the downstream infrastructure's adequacy and condition. The flow should be followed to a suitable outfall (Monument Creek) and the condition of the downstream conveyance and its adequacy should be described. A design point should be given (both pre and post development) and discussion should be included that describes the flow leaving the pond until it reaches the creek. The Final Drainage Report for Baptist Road West, El Paso County, prepared by Felsburg Holt & Ullevig, March 2015 should be used in the preparation of the drainage report for this site. Conformation that your proposed flow is in conformance with the Baptist Road report should be stated. 3. The taking of this section of Baptist Road has been identified to the Town of Monument multiple times, most recently January 14, 2020. The county is available to discuss this topic with the town of Monument as soon as possible. Please Call Jana 719-520-6874 to set this meeting. |
