Upper Black Squirrel Creek GWMD

The Upper Black Squirrel Creek GWMD does not have any issue with the applicant putting in a second dwelling. Our rules allow for 2 homes on 1 well. However, the applicant needs to check their well permit to make sure that their permit allows for 2 homes. If it does not they will need to call the Division of Water Resources to amend their well permit to add that home to the permit so as not to be in violation of their well permit. They also need to be aware that both homes will share the acre-foot amount of water that they are allowed per year and need to make sure that they will have adequate water to supply for both homes, and that amount will also include irrigation and animals. 4/7/2021 10:15:30 AM
