Regarding a request for approval of an addition to an existing garage to create living space, Enumerations has the following comments: 1. Since this new living space is intended for family use, an address separate from the existing house is not required. However, we typically assign the designator “B” to the address as an indicator that it is a separate structure with a separate building permit history.
