Description of Agricultural Exemption:
We want to build a 24x30 metal barn in order to house them, store hay and supplies, and have room to care for them. It will be next to my existing garage, 67 feet from the nearest property line, so there will be no easement or setback conflict. The rear (west) of the barn will have dutch doors for access to the yard. The front (east) will have an entry door and a 10x10 roll up door so I can back my trailer right to the door and load the horses, with less chance of them escaping. I will be a very new first time horse owner, so I want to leave little chance for them to outsmart me. The south side of the barn will have an 8x8 roll up door so that in the summer I can put a portable industrial fan and open the tops of the dutch doors which will provide cross ventilation and keep the horses comfortable. Inside there will be (2)12x12 stalls for the horses with doors to access the loading area and an 8x10 tack room with a hay loft. The cupola will be 8 feet from the front of the barn.
