Description of Agricultural Exemption:
We would like to build a 36’ wide x 24’ deep x 18’ high (peak) pole barn with two stalls in order to have our horses on our property. There will also be a 12’x24’ open lean to on the NE side of the barn acting as a covered shelter for the horses. On the SW side of the building we plan on having a 12’x24’ enclosed lean-to with a 7’x10’ garage door to store additional hay and wood chips and a small tractor if we purchase one in the future. The interior of the barn will consist of two 12’x12’ stalls, a 12’x24’ breezeway, a 6’x12’ tack room, and a 12’x12’ hay storage room. There will be 2 sliding barn doors (6’wide x 10’ tall) on both ends of the breezeway. There will also be Dutch doors in the stalls that allow for airflow and access to the covered lean to. The enclosed lean to will have a garage door, a 36”x80” exterior door and two (4’x3’) windows. The barn will have two 36”x80” exterior doors, two windows (4’x3’), and two 4’x2’ windows above the sliding barn doors.
