Description of Agricultural Exemption:
The structure will be a 30x40 ft barn with a 10 ft wide lean to running the length of one 40 ft sides. The structure will be 14 ft tall with two 12 ft bay doors, 1 walk in door and 6 windows (3 down each 40 ft side). The primary use will be to house goats, hens, a tractor with implements and items related to the welfare of the animals (feed, etc.). The primary use of the tractor will be to transport feed and hay from the barn to various housing structures (goat enclosure on the front of the property and chicken coop in the back; locations for animals in addition to the barn). The tractor will also be used to till and plow areas we will utilize for a garden associated with 4H projects. In the future as my children progress through 4H the animal breeds will change. I’ve ensured that the company I’m hiring will construct the barn to meet at least the minimum requirement for El Paso County’s building codes. Once constructed I will be looking in to the requirements for electricity.
