All calculations for Meridian Ranch's use of Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District's sewer collection system were based on lower densities. Meridian Ranch is now asking for higher densities. Since 2004 when the original documents were drafted, there have been several amendments to increase units. The current amendment request for an additional 500 units brings the total to 1,725 units more than the original plat. WHMD sewer collection system was designed for WHMD. The design did not consider Meridian Ranch contributing flow into the WHMD system. WHMD collection system is not adequate for the proposed increase in residential units. Additional capacity will have to be built to accommodate the higher density. 7/14/2021 5:05:21 PM

Meridian Ranch is currently using Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District's collection system to provide service for the District. Using design criteria there is not capacity in WHMD's sewer system to service additional flow. Meridian did not mention any plan of upgrading or bypassing the overloaded sewer mains. I would not recommend approval of the amendment without addressing the lack of available capacity in WHMD's sewer collection system. 6/15/2021 8:57:05 AM
