El Paso County Parks and Community Services has reviewed the site development plan for the Meridian Ranch Sports Center and has found no impacts to existing or proposed EPC Parks parks, trails, or open space facilities. Staff is pleased to see the Sports Center being built in a central location alongside a community greenway and adjacent the Rolling Hills Ranch Neighborhood Park, which was successfully constructed under the provisions of an El Paso County Urban Park Lands Agreement. This proposed project is located within the Woodmen Road Metropolitan District boundaries. The District assess’ platting and building permit fees for new development within the District Boundaries, the District also assess’ a mill levy on property within the District Boundaries.

The fees for this year are as follows:

Platting Fees:
a. Commercial: $1540/acre
b. Residential: $385.00/lot

Building Permit Fees:
a. Commercial:
1. Destination retail/hotel: $1.37/square foot
2. Convenience Commercial: $5.51/square foot
3. All Other Uses: $1.10/square foot
