CDOT Access: A CDOT Access Permit is required for this development. CDOT has been in communication with the developer over the years of this project and to date a CDOT Access Application has not been received for this development and the accesses, existing of proposed. Roadway safety improvements are going to be required of this development for continued safe access for the Rockytop Hotel/RV Camp Grounds use. The development is in use of a pioneered roadway and use will be reconfigured with future acceleration / deceleration lanes along SH24G. Access allowance to and from this pioneered roadway is not prohibited within CDOT Right of Way. CDOT Hydraulics: Plan Comments - Provide outlet protection for the 18” CMP outlet pipe and any other pipes discharging to CDOT ROW. Provide velocity calculations for those pipes and outlet protection. Report Comments - It appears that runoff discharges directly onto CDOT ROW. Is there any ponding onto CDOT ROW at the proposed outfalls? Spread calculations are not included and this is not discussed in the report text. How will spillway flows be captured? It appears that overtopping events will discharge directly onto CDOT ROW. If capacity in the ditch or culvert is provided for the overtopping events, it is not indicated in the report text CDOT Traffic: A Traffic Impact Memo is being requested for potential impacts to the surrounding roadways and WB access approach.
